After feeling refreshed from our retreat to La Fortuna, we started our day with a visit to the beautiful Pozo Azul waterfall. We were all tired from the long hike, but swimming in the cool water boosted our energy, creating a joyful environment. We took many pictures and had lots of laughs, capturing these loving memories.
Feeling hungry, we headed to Vicky’s famous kitchen, Rancho La Loma. We quickly changed out of our dirty swimsuits and refueled with one of Vicky’s signature dishes. We watched as much of the Champions League Final match as we could before we had to head off to a soccer game of our own. We were all passionate about getting into a fútbol mindset for the upcoming soccer camp.
We were happy to stop at our favorite place, the Mega Super. We rushed out of the bus, ready to buy our favorite snacks. Some got ice cream, others got chips, and everyone left happy. When we arrived at the soccer camp, we quickly began plotting and strategizing against the Costa Rican team, hungry for revenge after losing terribly last Saturday.
Jorge scored a goal and beautifully assisted Kayan with another golazo, convincing us this was our game. However, Gabriel accidentally scored for the other team, shaking our team’s mentality. The Costa Rican team then scored three goals, and we lost yet again.
We are currently on the bus cooling down in the air conditioning and we are ready to hang out with our homestay families.
